Poema/Processo – 14ª Bienal de Curitiba

As part of the program of the 14th Curitiba Biennial of Contemporary Art, and curated by Adolfo Montejo Navas, the exhibition “Poema-Processo, A Última Vanguarda” will be inaugurated in a special room tomorrow. The show features works by Wlademir Dias-Pino, Neide Sá, Falves Silva, Álvaro de Sá and Moacy Cirne, among others. Some of the most significant works produced by the movement will be on display, such as Wlademir Dias-Pino’s “Solida” (1962), Falves Silva’s “Latin American Way of Life” (1976), “Transparência” (1968) ), by Neide Sá, “Poema para Ser Rasgado” (1973/2017) by Moacy Cirne and “12 × 9” (1965-1967) by Álvaro de Sá, among many others.

Débora Bolsoni e Rodrigo Garcia Dutra – 14º Leilão Anima

Débora Bolsoni and Rodrigo Garcia Dutra are part of the traditional Galeria Luisa Strina’s auction for the NGO Anima. The works will be exhibited at Arte57 and the auction will be held online, in partnership with Blombô Leilões. Bidding can be held until October 15 at 8pm.

Anna Costa e Silva – Exhibition "Ontem, Hoje, Agora"

Opens on September 20, at Solar dos Pineapples, the exhibition “Ontem, Hoje, Agora”, with work by artist Anna Costa e Silva. The exhibition, curated by Maria Catarina Duncan, will be open for visitation from 18h.


Kunsttempel, Kassel, Germany


Kunsttempel, Gallery for Cognition and Language situated in Kassel, Germany, presents POESIS – Sprachkunst | Language Art.  The exhibition is curated by Friedrich W. Block  and will give a snapshot of international language art  from a post-digital perspective, with artists  that for the past two decades, have exhibited in the Gallery such as Augusto de Campos, Betty Leirner, Franz Mon, Gerhard Rühm, Michèle Métail and Timm Ulrichs. A catalogue published by Jenior Editors will accompany the exhibition, which will open on August 29th 2019.

Neide Sá – Exhibition "Manjar: Para Habitar Liberdades"

It opens on August 24, at Solar dos Abacaxis, the exhibition “Manjar: Para Habitar Liberdades”, with works by artist Neide Sá. The exhibition, curated by Keyna Eleison and Bernardo Mosqueira, can be visited from 6pm.

Marcelo Brodsky – Launch of the book "El Alma de Un Gigante"

Opens on June 6, at Ateliê397, the exhibition “Abraço Coletivo”, with works by artists Anna Costa e Silva, Rodrigo Garcia Dutra and Yasmin Guimarães. A project idealized by curator Paula Borghi, the show happens sporadically in independent art spaces and does not pass judgment on taste, career discrimination (curriculum and portfolio analysis) and selection process. It is through the understanding of the potential of each participant that it guides, deconstructing the metrics and stagnant ideas that limit the fluidity of art.

Sonia Andrade – Exhibition "... Às Contas"

Opens on June 6, at MAM Rio de Janeiro, the exhibition “… Às Contas” by artist Sonia Andrade. For the past five decades, the artist has kept all the bills she has received, and paid, for services considered to be basic – those directly responsible for maintaining our physical survival. This group, formed initially by bills of light, water, gas and sewage, over the years, gained the company of the accounts of cable television, internet and cell phone. After twenty years of her last exhibition in the museum (where she also held her first solo exhibition in 1976 in the Experimental Area), the artist from Rio presents the unprecedented installation “… Às Contas”. The exhibition, curated by Fernando Cocchiarale and Fernanda Lopes, can be visited until September 22.
