Amilcar de Castro: Na Dobra do Mundo
MuBE, São Paulo
Approximately 120 works by the neoconcretist visual artist and graphic designer Amilcar de Castro now compose MuBE’s internal and external installations. The exhibition, curated by Guilherme Wisnik and Rodrigo de Castro, is a tribute to the centenary of the multifaceted artist, who is part of the list of the greatest Brazilian exponents in art and culture.
One of the attractions within the exhibition is the subject-line chapter, a selection of contemporary works by different Brazilian artists, who dialogue with Amilcar’s works. Carmela Gross, Lia Chaia, max willà morais, Moisés Patrício, Rubiane Maia and Carla Borba, Tomie Ohtake and Wlademir Dias-Pino are part of this selection.
